    Pet Emergency Hospital

The Pet Emergency Hospital is located in the University Veterinary Hospital at UCD Belfield, Dublin 4. It is an initiative provided by veterinary practices in the greater Dublin area to provide comprehensive night, weekend and Bank Holiday care with hospitalisation for patients of their practices. This service is provided to registered clients of these member practices.

Initial contact with the PEH is made by phoning your practice. A list of the Member Practices is shown on the member practices page. A minimum of one experienced veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse is available on site at all times.

In the event of an emergency
Please contact your usual veterinary practice. The phone numbers for each of our member practices are provided on the member practices page.

If your veterinary practice is closed
The contact telephone number for the Pet Emergency Hospital will be provided by their answering service.

For security reasons, we will ask you to phone the Pet Emergency Hospital on 01 260 9920 before you arrive. This also allows our staff to prepare for the incoming case. If you require, we can give directions over the phone or they can be obtained from the Location page.

Ring your vet straight away and they will have an emergency contact number on their voicemail for things like this which need to be seen immediately.
