Planning Permission Changes

I'm just looking for some advice, I have planning permission granted on a site with a substantial sized house on it. Permission runs out later this year and we have not started work at this stage. I'll be applying to extend this under the new rules.

We are looking to completely change the style of house on the site so I'm wondering if I will have to make a new full planning application or can I make changes to the existing permission?

You will most likely require a full new application.

Get your extension of time done ASAP.

    Thanks Kceire,

Is there much point extending time if I'll probably need a full new application?

    You use the word 'probably'

An extension if time is free, by doing this your 'free' to change your mind and build the house already granted, let it lapse and the site doesn't have planning permission.

You also you the words 'completely change' - if this is what you want you'll require a fresh planning application. best to speak to a local arch

no point, but get it clarified by your local planner that they wont accept a "change of house design" application after the initial permission is extended.

the right thing to do, if you have time, is to apply for 'change of design' now, while the existing permission is still valid, and then apply for the extension of duration once you get permission for the change of design.
