Anybody out there that knows what the opportunities for law graduates are like in this city? I'm talking paralegal or law clerk work.

There are loads of legal firms in Christchurch, I know the North side is scary but there's plenty over in Smithfield too :pac:

The Northside is OK, but that may be because Mayo people look tough - all that fresh air

If the query is for CC NZ, no idea

Why are you not asking this on a NZ forum?

For admission purposes, here are the requirements for NZ https://www.lawsociety.org.nz/for-lawyers/joining-the-legal-profession/admission

For jobs, check monster etc and also reach out to the Canterbury Law Society which covers Christchurch. In general the unemployment rate in NZ is around 5.4% dropping to 2.6% for the Canterbury region. Much is related to construction so if you like conveyancing you could be ok.
