My partner is working atm, im on jsa but she is pregnant. When it comes time for maternity leave, how much as a family will we get? assuming I dont have a job by then. Currently, I get a full rate for myself + half rate for her (as her wages are low) + full rate for two kids - her means.

I take it she will get €230 (she is working over a year) but I dont really know where I stand. My thinking would be half rate for me and full rate for 3 kids, plus her €230 = ~€442, would I be right?

If you are getting jsa...why are you only getting half rate for her? At present if she doesnt have a claim you should be getting 188+124.80+29.80x2- means for her employment.

Sorry only getting back to you now but wanted to make sure my info is correct. When your partner goes on mat benefit you should receive €188 and half rate for children and her means will be removed from your claim. You will have to bring in a letter from her employer stating that she is not being "topped up" by them e.g. they are not paying her also.
