    Hi all

Im new to the audis and i have a bit of a problem with my 07 TDI,

    The problem is:

    1. the electric windows in front wont work(windes in back)
    2. Central locking wont work
    3. rear reversing sensors wont work
    4. car only locks on key
    5. boot release wont work
    5. The passenger footwell is drowned

I think water is after getting in on the bulkhead and damaging the unit electric unit in the pass footwell.

Has anyone else have this problem ? Also do anybody know the name of this unit and how hard is it to fit ?

Really appreciate if anyone could help

    Regards

    Cman

You're wet footwell is probably due to the drainage holes around the engine bulkhead under the windscreen being blocked by leaves or debris. There are various videos on you tube and info on the specialist audi forums showing how to sort this out. It appears to be a common problem in very wet weather.

It does sound like you have an electrical problem, especially if all those items stopped working at the same time. The central locking and windows give trouble in those cars due to poor design but obviously it's unusual to happen all together.

I'd sort out the water issue first and then bring the car to a proper Audi mechanic to assess the electrical issues. You can't be too careful and simply replacing the unit might be expensive and not solve the problem or be necessary. For example a broken wire in the central locking could be earthing itself and causing the unit simply to malfunction.

    Thanks Rob,

I have been doing a bit of searching and its the CCM unit (Comfort control unit) under the pass footwell carpet , seems to be a common problem .

Has anyone on here removed this unit ??

Link here to a description of repair on a Passat. It's in the same place on those as well as on the Superbs. I know it's not the same, but It might help give you an idea of what's involved
