Dropping passengers off at the bus station

Is there any way of legally stopping near the bus station to drop off a passenger?

I know there are a couple of spaces outside the station but to get to them from the Mall/Bridge street side of the city it seems you have to go across the bridge and round the roundabout at the railway station (and through the lights twice).

The only alternative is to pause illegally on the opposite side of the road from the bus station, this is not very useful if you have to manage a large piece of luggage and say goodbye. Anyone have any better ideas?

Lots of cars/taxis drop straight into the bus station in one of the unused bays near the top.

There is (was?) a big sign very specifically saying no access. Thanks anyway! Anyway I pulled into the loading bay just before the bus station (coming from Tower end) let off passenger, turned left at the next junction and ended up in the car park behind Guineys. Parked there and went back to the quays in time to see the traveller off (back to America:().
