    Hi, just a wondering ...

I was arrested for a incident i was involved in roughly 3 months ago, I admitted guilt and gave a quick video statement to the arresting Gardai in the station , fingerprints, photo etc.

I was released without being given a charge sheet

...I got legal advice from a solicitor, said I may not be summoned over the alleged incident, as he didn't actually get charged. And if I did its my first offence so maybe a small fine.

Is this a common occurence? No charge sheet given and no summons issued?

It's been nearly 3 months and I havent heard a thing?

Summons can still be issued, it may be a case where a file has to be sent to the dpp for a direction

Depends on the offence. If it requires DPP direction it can be months before a summons is issued. If it's indictable you can be arrested again for the purpose of charge.
