    BLACKLIP RESIDENTIAL NIGHT 003

:// THE PINT, 28 EDEN QUAY
    :// €10/€8
    :// DUBSTEP, DRUM 'N' BASS & TECHNO
    :// COMMENT FOR CHEAPLIST!

Blacklip returns in the new year to bring you the heaviest and weightiest in the bass sector of electronic music in The Pint and this time, things'll be a little different; not only do we have dubstep and drum 'n' bass being blasted out on the Funktion Ones in the main room but there'll also be a set of decks up in the terrace pumping out techno from some of the best local DJ's on the scene!

Warming up the main room on the night we have our resident DJs Whatch, Yungwanz and Falx delivering a hefty three way back to back dub set, followed by three hours of jungle and drum 'n' bass from the hands of Executive Steve, Enno and Undadog.

If ya need a break from the (roughly) 170BPM madness, upstairs will see Smalltalk residents Jasmine Alzarian, Arthur Linnane, Seán Markey and Sam Wallace dish out some tasty techno. We got somethin' for everyone!

Cheaplist is €8 if you comment on the event wall.

Keep an eye out on the page for a wee competition for guest list entry (which is cheaper than free BTW) so don't touch that dial or leave the room!

    :// EXECUTIVE STEVE:
We are proud to present to you the man they call Executive Steve... He has the voice of an angel, the snake-hipped charm of a ballroom dancer, the soft and uncalloused hands of a kept man and the cold hard stare of a contract killer. Known to take the occasional sip of sherry, he enjoys long walks by the beach, quiet nights in, and all of the finer things in life. He is wanted by police in more countries than he can name; is a fearless ace pilot, a revolutionary, a noted wit, raconteur and citizen of the world. One of Dublin's hardest-working Drum and Bass DJ's; he’s held residencies at nights like Tribe, Reach, Mud and Shatter and broadcasts a weekly radio show on Dublin's Raidio Na Life 106.4 FM representing all aspects of 170BPM music. He’s also been known to get merrily scuttered at his own night DRANK, where he focuses on curating a wide inclusive variety of bass-heavy cutting-edge urban dance music from Grime to Jungle, Footwork to Hardcore, Dancehall to Ghettotech to Autonomic-style DnB.

    :// ENNO:
Having started producing dubstep four years ago, Enno began gravitating towards producing D'n'B and has since signed with Gamma Audio, ICU Audio, Cymbalism and Boka Records. His productions have had support from the likes of Reso, Total Science and True Tiger to name just a few. His residency spot at Strangeways will ensure an hour of high level energy, expertly delivered.

    :// UNDADOG:
Undadog has been DJing for the past thirteen years, clocking up multiple gigs along the way. As a dedicated turntablist, his DJ sets feature a range of styles including oldskool rave, reggae, hip-hop and jungle, mixed and cut up with a choppy “cut and paste” styled approach. Over the years, Undadog has played slots throughout Ireland and the UK. These include Incubator (Belfast), Alienisland Festival, Rathlin Island Festival, Rastachaun Dundalk, Crilli, Life Festival and The Energy Collective (Dublin), as well as having residencies held at Perceptual, Sound Kowalition, Bad Taste, and Drumology, Rewind Dublin and Jungle Boogie. He's also appeared on radio stations such as Battlestation, Break-Pirates, Stressfactor, BassJunkees, UK Rumble (London), and Interface (London) and is currently holding down a fortnightly Friday evening residency on global junglist radio station which can be heard a , 7:30-9pm (GMT).
