    They are trying to get someone's direct attention. We all know our eyes are attracted to movement, especially rapid movements.

    Rubbing your nose with the intention of grasping someone else's attention, hoping for eye contact.

    Serious answer: I think nose touching is actually a sign of nervousness not sure how scientific this is but might have something to do with blood pressure
