How to activate Sky Sports 5

I've just sat down to watch the Madrid derby, only to be met with a blue screen and a reminder that I need to 'activate' a channel that I've had for donkey's years. What on earth is going on, and how can I sort it out? It's telling me to press the red on my remote but I've tried that and nothing's happened. Please help me before I miss another one of Ronnie's hatricks. Cheers.

Correction: Silly me, Sky Sports 5 is actually a new channel, but I was definitely watching live football on it before Xmas. I don't understand why it's gone now.

It's impossible to have it donkeys years when the channel isn't even a year old. Irish customers can't activate through the red button, it should already be active. You will need to ring sky and they'll end the signals for it. Have you all the other sky sports channels?

Yeah I meant I've had the full Sky Sports package for years. I obviously didn't notice that a new channel had been launched, but I certainly remember watching Champions League football on it before Xmas. This is very irritating. And my Sky Go doesn't seem to be working either. I'll have to give them a buzz. Thanks for your reply.

Somebody else recently had the same problem:

Seems the only solution is to call Sky.
