    I feckin knew it.:D

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/11330225/Take-too-many-selfies-You-could-be-a-psychopath.html

Footballers, film stars and other men addicted to posting selfies on social media are displaying psychopathic traits, according to a new study.
They are more likely to be narcissistic, impulsive and display other anti-social characteristics such as a lack of empathy, said university researchers.

Instead, it means they score higher than average levels for anti-social traits, Ohio State University researchers told the specialist journal Personality and Individual Differences.

Those who edit their own pictures to make themselves look better show signs of narcissism and self-objectification, said assistant professor of communication Jesse Fox.The more interesting finding is that they also score higher on this other anti-social personality trait, psychopathy, and are more prone to self-objectification."

I hate other people shoving a camera into my face; why would i do it to myself?

Sometimes it is an obvious plea for attention that its embarrassing. When you just take a photo of yourself and the point is showing just a still picture of yourself so that people 'like' it there is something weird about that. it really is zoolander.

I think Pschopathy, sociopaths and narcissists are all on a spectrum of personality disorders that lack empathy. I suppose they cant empathise with the people who have to endure them constantly posting pointless pictures of themselves in stupid poses :)

    It's all relative.

Women who are a fan of selfies show duck traits.

I hate selfies. Especially the duck face ones.
I also think the "selfie-stick" is the worst invention ever. Even the mention of it raises my blood pressure. For me, it symbolises everything that is wrong with today's society! :pac:

What I don't get is how people can make themselves look so good in selfies and then you see them in real life and it's like an episode of Catfish.

I was wondering how many posts it would take......you are entitled to the mystery prize of either an old selfie or a new selfie. Just don't post a new selfie of the old selfie.;)

Then on the other hand you have people that are not photogenic at all and look way better in reality.

You'd only go for the ride and don't want to be disappointed? What a cnutbag.

I refute this scurrilous claim and attach a selfie to prove it.

Women who take endless photos of themselves doing anything would be labelled as what? Advertising themselves for boyfriends?

I actually work with a young lady who presented each of us (5 people that she works with) a calendar made up of her 12 best selfies with her kids. Could not make it up. She was so enthusiastic it was hilarious.

I always wondered what makes a person think to take a picture of themselves and put it on the internet.

    This makes sense.

I feel like I've a good grasp on the personalities of people on FB I know that take selfies and they all crave attention IRL. The odd one is fine but it's something I'd never do. Snapchat is awash with that ****e too.

Hate selfies. Maybe I am old but, there is way too much self promotion in this age. Seem to be a serious lack of private conversation or even private thought. No matter what the subject people are anxious to express a public opinion on something or post a photo at the newest best most uber cool club, like ever, and will measure their value on how many likes they receive.

I don't give a crap if people take photo's of themselves and post them online, have at it.

But there's certainly something of a Skinner Box vibe off the whole business.

The only selflies I see on snapchat are close ups of one eyed winkers
