Need some advice please

Hi all, I have just come through a very important event in my life, (well important to me anyway) and wanted to mark and remember this time by buying myself a decent watch. My budget is €1000 - €1500. Looking around some shops I keep getting shown RAYMOND WEIL and LONGINES or Tagheuer watches.
What would be would people recommend amongt these brands, or is there something else or somewhere else I should be looking at.

What sort of watch would you like? Sports watch, dress watch, tool/instrument watch, quartz, mechanical, chronograph or other complications etc?

Of the three brands you mention I would go for Longines. Tags in that price range are quite ordinary and Longines have the advantage over RW in terms of history and heritage. f you were to look at buying online, someone like Stowa will engrave for about 80 euro

they make cracking watches and are made for you..so couple months lead time

both are well know in the watch world...but not by the day to day person
