How long does it take to bed-in new brake pads and/or how many kms/mls need to be driven? Do the rear brake pads take longer to bed-in?

I've had two lots of brake pads replaced in recent years, once a couple of years ago on my C-Max (all four), and they were so bad that even after a day or two I took them back to the garage to double check them who said they were OK, and it took a week before I was confident in them again. The last time was only recently when I had front disks and pads replaced on my Qashqai, and I barely noticed a difference at all.

    So, in short, I don't know :)

They usually recommend you take it easy the first 200miles to let them bed in.
