Anyone know how to switch this off.. I have gone into settings >privacy> and location services and switched that off but it still shows my location... Any tips appreciated!

Does it still show your location in maps? If so its using cell towers to triangulate your position and isn't using GPS. Why do you want to turn it off?

If you turn off Location Services, an app won't be able to triangulate using cell towers nor will it be able to use GPS.

Also, if you lose your phone you won't be able to use Find My iPhone. Location services aren't that big a battery drain.
