The sprayers on the drivers side of the car are not working after that really cold night recently. Got down to -6 here. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could go about investigating or fixing the problem.

Do you have water in the windscreen reservoir?

Could be just blocked with dirt, try using a needle or compressed air. If that doesn't work remove the hose going to sprayer head and see that when you turn on sprayer that water comes out the hose.

Not sure on Saabs but most cars would have one pump for both nozzles, does your car have headlight washers if you spray them does only the right work?

Did you try to spray when the water was frozen? If so you may have had the plastic hose that runs from the reservoir to the sprayer pop off.

Lift the bonnet and have a look along the edge of the bonnet, or the scuttle panel etc and see can you trace the pipe

As it may be of interest:
My car has heated washer nozzles so they don't freeze unfortunately the tubes that feed the nozzles are on the outer bonnet side of the sound deadening mats of my bonnet so in really cold weather the pipes will freeze even though the nozzles are nice and toasty hot. It takes quite a while for the frozen pipes to defrost.

You can always put a decent slosh of methylated spirits into the washer reservoir to stop it freezing.
200ml in a full tank would be plenty.
