Ibe been called to fix a churchmans hot/cold mixer shower fed from a pump. When running hot it suddenly loses it heat and goes cold. As I don't usually fix showers I'm not sure what to look out for. Anybody any ideas?

Sounds like the thermostatic cartridge may be scaled up

Thermoelectric or thermostatic cartridge? Can they be cleaned?

thermostatic cartridge. Usually they are wax cartridges and cleaning won't help so need replacing. Having said that, there is no harm in trying to clean it.

Are they specific parts for every type of shower?

No sign of a model no. It's a churchmans Sagittarius.

I haven't a clue where you'd get parts for that. I googled it & can't find an Irish agent. Also all I can find in the UK are places selling them but none listed as selling parts. The showerdoc UK are the largest parts supplier & they don't seem to stock parts for it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
