I have a general query about the issuing of dealing numbers by land registry in land transfers. What would be considered the average waiting time between submission of a deed of transfer to land registry and the issuing of a dealing number for it? Regards

A dealing number can be obtained immediately if the application to register is completed online, if the dealing is lodged by post a number would usually be issued fairly quickly, within a week or two.

A dealing number is only valid for a month if its not lodged
