Series link be super but dual record not essential. :)

I don't need a combo or any things to fancy just something that works in Ireland and if possible can record? Its to compliment my Analogue UPC.

Cheers Guys would appreciate any help :)

Cheap & Cheerful is my motto for January ha

Best on the market is the Humax Freesat+ Freetime fantastic guide

or cheaper but equally as good for guide and recording is

Manhattan Plaza HDR.S which comes with a smaller 320gb but silent as a mouse hard drive in it.

Both will need a dish and two cables brought it to work properly..

There's Manhattan Plaza HDR for around €150 on ebay with 320gb.. I'm between that and a cheap REVEZ freesat box

I have a Manhattan Plaza HDR.S and for the money I'd recommend it. As said you need to have both inputs in use to get the best of it (and that cos it just runs better - can be cranky with just one input in my experience).

Revez is not a freesat box is a FTA satellite box that gives a now and next guide only and needs an external hard drive avoid avoid avoid..they cost around 60euro... Manhattan approx 130 sterling not sure on prices of manhattan.

Only advantage revez box would have is it will play movies from a USB pen other boxes will only playback recordings made on box and will not play external files on a USB pen.

Have found a Manhattan Plaza HDR-S Smart Freesat+ for £120 including postage so roughly

My main driver is a straightforward 7 day epg that allows series link so I think that's good value :)

RevieW's seem good for the Manhattan Plaza HDR-S too..

I've sold a few and customers rave about them, epg is fast and complete, however not all channels are free channels are freesat so dont come with the 7day guide but the vast majority of the decent ones do, I think u can also access ITV player if you connect the box to your internet using a lan cable and can access itv back catalog on it....which is a nice bonus..

bbc player is also on it but geo-locked from within ireland but there are ways around this...

Looking at the youtube reviews of the more basic Manhattan HD-S (Non Recording) the epg looks well and what I'm looking for especially with in built hard drive :)

Very similar to sky box set up
