Ford Focus 1.8 tdci judder problems.

Have a 08 Focus tdci 1.8, its given a few problems over the years, including new clutch and flywheel in the first 3 months I owned it (replaced approx 4 years ago with 55k kms on the clock). Recently an injector failed, along with a resistor which caused a fault in the aircon/heaters (very common with focus, had it before). Both were repaired, along with a new rear wheel bearing, and the car got a basic service. Since the repair, the car has a pretty severe judder on acceleration. Its been suggested it might be a failing drive, but these were checked visually and nothing found.

Google seems to point towards the dmf failing again, I really hope not, cos it cost a fortune the last time. Before I send it in again to get looked at, I was hoping to get opinion here on common faults or what to consider.

I recently had something similar on my '06 Focus diesel. Kind of like a hesitation in the acceleration. It turned out to be a busted air intake pipe which was blowing air through the split when accelerating. Worth checking out.

I wouldnt call this a hesitation, the whole car vibrates pretty strongly. I can control it to a degree by keeping the revs in a sweet spot between 2- 2.5k
