Swimming Pool to Practice - Beginner Learning

    Hi,

I have just started adult swimming lessons in Cabra where outside of the classes you have to be a member of the pool to use it. Anyone recommend a pool not a million miles away, pay as you go in the evenings from 8pm onwards? Preferably would be looking for a quiet enough pool as only learning and don't want to be in lanes holding people up!!!

    Cheers.

I used to go to the late-evening swim at Coolmine pool (close to Blanch SC), which ran from 10-10.45pm and was open to non-members. In terms of busyness etc., it varied, although they only rarely put in lane ropes (and even then only one or two) so there would be an open space for people like yourself to practice in without the pressures of lane swimming :) Don't know how convenient that time or location would be, but it's an option; have you checked out de Paul on the Navan Rd?

cheers for that...10pm would be great for during the week...if only i knew about this place beforehand might have done my lessons here as its far cheaper. Going to chance the markievicz on Sunday around 11. Then next week will try coolmine at 10 as only about a 20 minute drive!!!!
