Do any tv;s auto update for new ch's on saorview ?

I've had to go around to various elderly relatives, and friends of elderly relatives updating their tv's so that they could get UTVi

and then explain that 'RTE New Now' was now on 21, and that rte+1 was on 8 and 11

I had to do it all when RTE2 changed to HD

I've mainly been changing, Philips, Sony, Toshiba and LG tv sets

(i'm not complaining, i received many a bottle of wine for services rendered)

You are not alone, and RTENL should be taken to task. Its even co8ked up on fully approved saorview tv's. I have done quite a few as well. A samsung smart had it on ch6 when trialling, disappeared and appeared at ch52 or 53. Then when live disapperared completely. A rescan got it back at ch6.

What I cant figure is why all the dud channels?? It does not make sense.
