    Hi,
I've changed my insurer and need to provide my license number for the new company, but I can't seem to find my drivers license anywhere. Planning to apply for a new one tomorrow but is there any way to find out your license number without having to wait to get a new one? Old insurance company don't seem to have it on file.

If you ring NDLS and explain you lost your licence and are looking for your driving number. They'll probably ask you a few security questions to ensure it's you though.

Another option - if you have ever been required to produce your driving licence at your local garda station they would have a record of it on their system. If you go in with id (e.g. passport, proof of address, etc), and ask nicely, they should be able to help.

Go to the ndls website. Go to the 'book appointment page.' Click the 'book with ppsn' option. As soon as you enter your details, your driver number will appear under your name. Problem solved.
