Athys Peoples Park Playground

    Driving past Athys peoples park playground lately and it looks like its really taking shape. Loads more things in there now and seems to cater for a range of age groups. Should be great when its done.

    The park is finished now and its really great. A fabulous amenity in the town. There was an Easter Egg hunt there on Saturday, sponsored by the Kildare County Show committee and all in aid of Barnardos. Have to say it was really well organised, the hunt was great, egg and spoon race, all kids got an Easter egg as well, loads of vans selling popcorn, ice cream, cake stalls, etc. would have been great if there was someone selling tea/coffee as well but not to worry. And the playground was jammed, really really was great fun. Great to see it :)
