Really interested in this but worried the battery power will be crap, sounds too good to be true!

I think there are versions of it that are single operator like the dhgate, the version with dual operating systems isn't available yet, only on pre-order.

i like the look of this.
If i was to get a sim card for this, whats the cheapest way of getting a data package to lob into it.

Is this a cheap chineese knock off basically. will it be plasticcy and fall to pieces 30 seconds after i open it.

It's apparently a unibody metal finish to it.

You could get 20 euro pay as you go three sim and you'd get free data every month.

Did yuo ever get a fake rolex watch or simular when you were a kid. just because things are made from metal, doesnt mean they will be any good! thosw things used to turn acidic as soon as they came into contact with air!

gonna follow this and see if anyone comes back with feedback. gonna check youtube at lunch to see if there is any reviews on it. for the price, it seems quite good though.

You asked was it plasticy, I stated it was metal... Don't know where the need for the rolex analogy came from!

It's cheap and has fairly impressive specs to back it up, don't know how long the battery can run if it's running both Os's side by side... but we'll know in a few weeks when it's released

Dual boot doesn't mean it runs both OS side by side, it means you can boot into either Windows or Android when you restart your tablet

Only one OS will be active at a time

I know but the claim on their page is that you can change operating system with the click of a button...

EDIT: Maybe that's just some of the blogs saying as much

I cant comment on this model but I bought an Onda Vi40 over 2 years ago and it was fine.It was well built and didn't feel cheap or plasticy .

If you have a bee in your bonnet about paying full price for an Apple Product that will give you years of continued use (the amount of people that are still using their iPad 2s after 4 years is considerably high), then this tablet is for you. You'll probably tinker with it initially and then it'll get thrown into the back of a drawer as it'll be too slow.

Totally intrigued by this type of device, it perplexes me the fact it's got full blown Windows.

Its actually got better specs than an iPad. Should be a serious bit of kit. Hopefully it's affordable.

As a buyer of one of the very first Ipads here at €800 in August 2010, I'd have to disagree. My Ipad is virtually useless now as none of the apps can be updated due to being stuck on an ancient IOS. I'd therefore dispute your assertion that you get years of use out of it and for the price premium, i'd expect much better. Give me a cheap Android device any day. You can afford a dud or two for the price of an Ipad.

Win8 is free to OEMs in certain scenarios - screen size and touchscreen related. Its an attempt to fight back against Chromebooks

Does anyone know if this has the international Android version, with access to Google accounts and Play store?

A Chinese phone I got, had the Chinese Android version, which basically makes your device as interesting as a Nokia with Symbian..
