    Hi,
Due to illness I haven't been to school much this year. (6th) and I would want to repeat. There are repeat schools that do this but to get into those repeat schools would I have to do the leaving cert this year?

Is there a particular reason you cannot just redo 6th year in your own school? Move to 5th year now?

No a lot of them you do not have to have sat the leaving cert, you can just go for 6th year and they cover the entire 2 year course in one year (they are very intensive) or a lot offer a two year course as well! but no you do not have to have sat the leaving cert to go to them :) You do not have to go to a specialist leaving cert school though, any normal school is an option to go to just for 6th year, although may vary depending on the school's numbers and stuff as the repeat schools are quite expensive!
