    Hi all,
I will be in the market this year for a new tractor but am unsure what to buy, have 08 lambourghini evo100,an ok tractor but would like to go up to a 110 hp tractor this time, have a pig and beef enterprise so mainly used for loader work, slurry and general farm work but would like to be able to do a little more if required.Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also would a 110 hp tractor be strong enough to pull a 2000gallon slurry tanker or would you be putting it under too much pressure.

    Saw Fiat 110/90 & MF399 pull a 3000Gal 2 axled tanker with no issue

on the tank question id say no problem unless you have ridiculously hilly ground, like the look of the valtra myself but expensive is the only thing

Well I would be a big fan of NH which also means caseIH.

What I would say get a list of your requirments and put them in order of importance

is what your budget? Stick to it.
What will you get as a trade in?
What will be the likely value of your new tractor when it comes to time for trading ( the day you buy is the day you sell)
What are your local dealers like? Finance deals and warrentys
What machines are you used to or have a preference for?
    Hp,
    Fuel usage,
    Transmission,
    Lift capacity,
    Size and stability vrs manoeuvrability
    Cab quality
    Standard extras
    Nice to haves

Try out as many as you can, will suprised how differnt some are when it comes working them, positions of controls sight lines and comfort all play a big part.

    John Deere for me.
We have a 6210 with a JD Loader (approx 95/100hp). Good tractor and made a big difference on our farm as it was out first tractor with a loader. We have it a few years 6 years now.

As for a new JD, the 30 series were apparently a disaster, but they are supposed to be on the ball with the R and M series now.
Don't know enough about engines to know what exactly.

But valtra's are supposed to be the real deal alright. How are they with loaders though? Neighbour of mine has one and he reckons its not balanced right. Needs 4wd for lifting bales etc as the back wheels will spin.

Ya found that with my lambo aswell, couldnt do anything as regards loader work without 4x4 on.Was leaning towards a massey initially mysef for no obvious reason other than i like yhe look of em and traditionally would have good resale but i think im gona have to give serious consideration to a case.

know a lad with a new n92 valmet and he has wheel weights on the back, reckons its a great job for loading bales

Simple way to deal with it. Heard dealers usually suggest it. Never knew if it would work though.

Have had two 30 series and no problems with them. Would choose them both over massey and fendt I hav

If money no object , I would go for maxxum 115 which is 6 cylinder same as nh 6.155 , Nh 5.115 is a bit lighter but on bigger tyres looks well and a lot cheaper
