I recently got a new motherboard and transferred my SATA hard drives over the problem is only one is being detected? They both were working fine today. I have changed the cables and even switched the hard drives around but still nothing the toshiba can be detected but not the seagate?

New motherboard is Asus M5A78L-MUSB3 AMD 760G

Just an update got my ssd today and it is detected in the bios and just cloning windows over now but still no seagate detected. Its not the motherboard or cables so it has to be something with the hard drive.

The drive is definitely getting enough power off the sata power rail?

While unlikely it is possible that ESD to the PCB could nuke the drive during transfer. Have you got a USB dock or enclosure to test it?
