My wife bought me Easypix Goextreme wifi action camera for Christmas, It's a great camera, I bought a 16GB class 4 sd card for it. Class 4 was the recommendation. I have an issue with regards to the recording time, It says on the camera that I have over 2hrs of recording time on 1080p, Each time I take it on the bike or in the car it stops automatically at 00:29:59 seconds. It is very frustrating as I would like to be able to take it out on my 3-4 hour rides once I get more memory. Has anyone had this problem?
    Please help

The problem that you described is because you are probably using FAT32 file system. The maximum possible size for a file on a FAT32 volume is 4 GiB minus 1 byte or 4,294,967,295 (232 − 1) bytes. This limit is a consequence of the file length entry in the directory table and would also affect huge FAT16 partitions with a sufficient sector size. Large video files, DVD images, and databases easily exceed this limit.

To shoot longer videos, you can format your Micro SD card using another system or shoot videos in a lower resolution.

It's a funny one (not haha) I've a Easypix Goextreme too and I'm having the same problem. It's true that FAT32 has a file size limit of 4GB but you'll see that the Goextreme is stopping at 3GB. I tried to change the file system by formatting the SD as NTFS to see what would happen. Unfortunately it doesn't work as the device warns of a card error. Interestingly the device itself formats the card as FAT32. I'm thinking of returning mine. Pity because other than the size limitation it's a pretty good camera.

If you read the manual it says that that is the maximum recording time! Has anyone found a way to change that?
