    Hi All,
I am thinking of buying a SONY BRAVIA KDL-48W585B - from pixmania.ie the question is dows it support Saorview ? In the web site it says the following under Tuners.
    Terrestrial (DVB-T, DVB-T2), Cable (DVB-C), Satellite (DVB-S, DVB-S2)

but it does not mention saorview or mpeg4

Any one know if it will work ?

    Thanks
    Alfie

Try and get the version that has Freesat, if there is one.

It will receive Saorview, but may not be approved. Check on saorview.ie

It's not listed on http://www.saorview.ie/product/sony/ but neither is my Sony KDL42W829 even though it had Saorview on the box.

Try and get the version that has Freesat, if there is one.

Only Panasonic & Samsung TVs are currently listed on freesat.co.uk

Saorview website can be slow at updating their site with all the models, though that TV handles Saorview fine (can also tune in Freeview HD if you're in range of an appropriate transmitter in NI/UK).
