Saorview Rescan Problem

Done a rescan today (Saorview Truskmore) after moving an aerial connection to another room and it now won't pick up RTE1 and UTV Ireland! If the connection to the aerial was bad surely I wouldn't pick up the others, the signal and quality is 100% on the channels that are there. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong? I checked my neighbours and they have all the channels!

Signal for the 2nd Saorview multiplex is either too weak, too strong, or there's something interfering with that particular channel.

Do you know if you're in a strong signal area? Maybe you can even see the transmitter mast?

10 miles from Truskmore and yes, its in sight. This only happened after I moved the connection to another room so I am thinking it might be something to do with the aerial wall socket as I had a problem with the one in the room where I had a perfect signal and had to replace it! Will take the socket out and bypass it to see if that works!

Yeah, some of those sockets are rubbish. You certainly shouldn't be struggling for signal if it's an external aerial you have, with a site like Truskmore within view.

It was the wall socket! I removed the 'innards' of it and just connected the aerial lead to the lead from the telly and that sorted it.have all the channels now.So now the lead is just peeking out of the socket. You are right , those sockets are rubbish. I had them installed in all the rooms when the house was built!
