    Could have sworn I've seen it but it doesn't appear in the rules of the road.

    They mean the same thing, maybe the one on the road in Dingle was never replaced with the newer version. There's still a very battered and grey looking 30mph road sign on a side road in Sligo Town, sometimes the CoCo's or road maintaince guys miss or never get around to replacing them.

    Yes they are all over the country. I have seen more of your one, than the other updated one tbh.

    Page 4/43 of this. I would think the straight line version has been replaced but that doesn't mean anyone will go around updating all of the old signs unless there is some work being carried out on the road.

    Yeah I saw one couple weeks back going from Kilmallock to Mitchelstown. Don't know if it was the straight line one or curved, was too in shock that the road could get narrower.
