There seems to be new airline coming to Dublin and they seem to be quite competitive on flights to Keyna and Tanzania. Here couple sample travels from ITA Matrix but tickets seem to be available from September to next January, including some travel during Christmas break (but you have to leave at 26th Dec).

Nice thing is that flight is 787 which is supposed to be really comfortable.

I assume its the new Ethiopian Airways Addis Abbaba/Dublin/New York service. Fine as long as the pilot doesn't do a bunk and claim asylum as one did in Switzerland!

I think they have it 9 a abreast in economy on the 787 which is in fact the narrowest seats on widebodies - much narrower than with even Ryanair.

Yeah yeah Ethiopians = asylum seekers. Getting a wee bit tired of the benign racism when there is a BA for anything to do with Africa.

I am headed to Kenya this Saturday, these are great prices, specially to Mombasa!

The co-pilot of an Ethiopian Airlines plane flying from Addis Ababa to Rome has been arrested after hijacking the aircraft and flying it to Switzerland.

The hijacker, identified by officials as Hailemedehin Abera Tagegn, waited for the pilot to go to the toilet before locking himself in the cockpit.

He was unarmed and, after landing at Geneva airport, said he was requesting asylum in Switzerland.

The airline said all 202 passengers and crew were safe.

Thanks, sorry I should have cleared up that I am aware of the story, just sick of the African slagging every time a BA relates to Africa.

I understand it was in jest, I just hope that Irish people aren't referred to by stereotypes or negative news stories in forums in other countries.

Anyways, great prices to East Africa, already forwarded it to some interested friends.

I thought Ethiopian 17inch width which is the same as Ryanair, there pitch is 32 v Ryanairs 30. I might be wrong with Ryanairs pitch.

Contrary to the website the 9 a breast economy on the 787 comes in at under 17". The 8 a breast is 18.5" which was the original Boeing spec but about half the customers opted for 9 a breast economy at the time when oil was through the roof and getting the price per seat down was the priority.
