Astonishing article from the times here
Apparently Dara thinks "But the EU must reassert itself as a union that has people at its heart, as opposed to a union that places an increasingly flawed economic vision above all else"
The only flawed economic vision I remember was Fianna Fails who brought us this disaster, albeit with the support of 42% of the population. I feel like the scene in 1984 when the old paper clippings of Fianna Fail creating the crisis being dropped into the fire and a new narrative blaming the EU is resurrected. How in all honesty can the Irish Times be party to this rewriting of history?

God damn it.... I read that bloody thing.

To save people the effort, its 700-ish words that repeat a couple of unelaborated, unexplained sound bites in order to snipe at other parties using the bogey man EU as a crude tool.

    Poor.

Given how the EU has evolved since the initial foundation it is unsurprising it is being used as a flak target from various sources. Ironic given how much monetary and social changes from both left/right stem from it. So for any established party to blame that institution would be an example of chutzpah.
