LG G2 vs Honor 6

(Yes it's another one of these threads, sorry :P )
So, I'm in the market for a new phone to replace my Xperia M2, and the one thing I loved about that phone, and why I got it in the first place, is its battery life. It would last a day and a half - 2 days with normal usage, which is what I'm looking for in a replacement.
I've narrowed it down to two phones, as per the title, the LG G2, and the Huawei Honor 6.
My main requirements for a smart phone are great battery life, decent camera, FM radio, and these two fit the bill, and are at the edge of my budget, I'm just having trouble deciding between them, and was wondering if anyone could offer an opinion, or if anyone has used either of these.

One of the main things stopping me from going for the Honor 6 (as it has an micro SD card slot, and is newer) is the fact that, though its battery is the same capacity as the G2, it seems to score a lot lower in any battery test I've come across. The G2 vs Honor 6 battery information listed by Techradar shows a major discrepancy, is it possible the chipset on one is much less energy efficient than the other?
The downside for the G2 is the lack of SD slot, the 1GB less of RAM (not entirely certain how much that matters), and I fear that as it's an older phone, the likelihood of its android OS being kept up to date is less.

Tl;dr: LG G2 or Honor 6? Which battery will last me two days? :P
    Thanks boardsies :)

I have an honor 3c 4G which is a lower end version of the honor 6. Battery standby in particular is very good, have been 8 days with 5 hours SOT on a single charge. 12 days on another charge with around 3 hours SOT.

Battery only drains around 1% every 3 hours in standby consistently. Many phones I've used (sony, samsung etc) have problems with standby where it's very inconsistent, sometimes draining slowly but other times would lose up to 3% per hour. Have not seen this happen once on the 3c which is probably down to well optimized software by Huawei.

I doubt the LG G2 will be getting any updates, but the honor 6 will be getting updated to emui 3.0 at the very least since its already been released for it in some markets.

India has the same h60-l04 model of the honor 6 that Amazon sells so should be coming to that too.

Personally I think android updates are a bit overrated though. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference especially if the phone has its own android skin on top. As long as the phone works as intended and is relatively up to date as far as the Android version go, I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker.

Thanks for the replies so far folks, it does look like both phones will get lollipop at any rate. Still undecided on battery life though, looks like a vote for each one :p . I wish there was a site with objective battery tests that had both these phones.

Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for, thanks! That shows a major difference between the two! Chipset must be more energy efficient or something...I suppose I could deal with only having 16GB of memory that can't be expanded...

Got an Honor 6 on release day in EU from Amazon. Great phone, good all rounder with the battery being the standout for me, it lasts ridiculously long.

Sometimes it will take a minute to wake for some reason but this has happened only twice in 2 months Ive had it, no other glitches etc apart from that

Don't pay attention to tests like that which have results for loads of phones, none of them are reliable from what I've seen and don't represent real world usage at all.

Oh, really? That's unfortunately the only metric I have to go on, outside of talking to people who own the phones...I suppose, for the Honor 6, because it has high performance and regular performance cores that it switches between depending on what it's doing, it's possible that benchmarking tools make it use the higher power cores, which is not what the phone would do on a regular basis.

Indeed, especially if those futuremark results use their own benchmark that might have compatibility problems with the kirin cpu and how it functions.

You're very unlikely to even download their benchmark let alone run it nonstop so I certainly wouldn't pay any attention to those results.

From user feedback I'd say both the lg g2 and honor 6 are similar battery wise. The emui 2.3 software is very efficient in standby, much more than any phone I've used before so might give the honor the lead if you are a light user looking for even more than 2 days battery life.

And if the 2.3 is that good, I imagine the 3.0 that's in the works should be even more of an improvement on top of that.

May roll the dice and go for the Honor 6 in that case!
