    Hiya folks,

After having a car written off, we need a new one.
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057322699&page=2

These are are usage/criteria and I appreciate any input.

Mainly used 1 day a week M50 and occasional local trips.
Mileage less than 5K a year.
Car will be a petrol/less than 1.4 and needs to fit two kids in back (3 and 5), buggy in boot and some bags.
Thinking plus '08 and budget about 5.5K
Don't want high tax/insurance so wan't to keep those similair to previous corrolla, so no luxobarges :(
    Safe and reliable.
    Will do basic servicing myself.

No issue buying privately as have a mechanic to check.

    Cheers,
    MAJJ

I reckon kia ceed 1.4 will give you good bang-for-buck, good safety, good equipment, reasonably nippy and crucially - within budget.

Hi Colm, thanks for taking the time. Are these the same engine/chassis as an Hyundai I30? Do you know what the '08 Kia equivalent to the I20 is and the engines sizes? Thanks

Kia rio was the i20/accent equivelant but was a generation behind. They're pretty much the same as the last Hyundai Accent.

With your needs you should be looking at ceed/i30 (which are based on each other) sized cars anyway.
