stupid q re suits!!

Hi

I know this is prob a really silly q but I'm wondering who wears matching suits. I know groom and groomsmen have them, but do fathers of bride and groom wear the same suits too?

Not much knowledge of wedding etiquette

They can if you want, they don't have to either. Think of wedding etiquette as just suggestions not requirements.

It's upto yourself whether you want the fathers to wear matching suits. Personally I think it looks better in photos if they do but its personal taste

Two groomsmen and both dads wore the same dark suits and husband wore a navy suit with a funky tie. Have to say it does look very well in photos and nice for groom to be bit diff in my opinion

Our fathers are wearing suits in the same colour, but not necessarily the same style. Mostly because we've gone for a slim-fitting style that wouldn't particularly suit either of our fathers.

Mine all wore black suits, but not matching. My husband had an ivory waistcoat, the others (two Dads, two brothers, BM and nephew groomsman) all wore black waistcoats. Teal was my colour, so all wore teal coloured ties. Looked dead smart too!

My groomsmen and I are going for the same suits, I am just going for a different colour tie to differentiate myself. The suits are too modern and don't suit the father of the bride, so he is just going for a more traditional suit in the same colour, but will wear the same waistcoats as us.
