Golf nct emission failure

I have a vw golf mk4 03 that failed the nct on emissions The figures are Low idle 0.06% Fail is above 0.30% HC 62 ppm High idle 0.25% Fail is above 0.20% HC 93 ppm Fail is above 200ppm Lambda 1.02 must be between 0.97 and 1.03 Engine oil temp was 89c The tester said that it was failing on low idle aswell for the majority…

Lambda 1.02 must be between 0.97 and 1.03

Engine oil temp was 89c

The tester said that it was failing on low idle aswell for the majority of that part of the test until the final few seconds of it it was up at around 0.60% he said. Do i have an intermittent fault. Cheers.

Nobody can answer that question over the internet.

However, given the fact that you only just failed I reckon it shouldn't be too difficult to get it sorted if you bring it to someone with the correct equipment and knowledge.
