Just wanted to ask if job seeking websites like Jobs.ie, Indeed and Monster.ie are worthwhile for a student wanting to find part-time work or full-time as the summer comes up? Is it also safe to actually safe to post CV on the website, as they give you an option for this?

They wouldn't be great for temporary work really, more useful for people skilled experienced in a particular area. What kind of work are you looking for?

Might be better to contact companies in the area you want to work in directly. Can your college give you any advice, recommend placings etc? It might be also useful to make contacts on LinkedIn that might help you.

I suppose the conventional work a student usually get part-time or as a summer jobs like retail, restaurant, hotel, etc.

But I am willing to go for unconventional work too, like maybe factory work, as I heard there would be more available work. Cleaning is work I am willing to do, but it would depend on how much work I can get out of it.

Most of the jobs that get posted on those sites are usually for people with 5 years experience, or people who have worked in management positions. The only easy to get jobs that are posted are usually door to door sales jobs. Every day I used to check with jobs.ie, and only very rarely would I find a job suited to someone of my age and experience level. Had better luck just applying through company websites.
