    Hi,
I know there is an old thread on this subject, but I was wondering if there was more up to date info.

I'm toying with the idea of purchasing some small amounts of silver (1oz coin or ingots or possible bigger).
This is not really an investment, but rather hedging against currency decline (correct term?). Of course if the value increased that would be good too.

I've done a bit of searching on the 'net. some interesting info. I think I understand 'price over spot premium' - but when it comes to selling can I charcge this back as well? or will I be at the loss of the over spot part? (if the spot price is same as purchase time).

WHo would purchase the bulion from me (If I don't sell back to the original vendor? I don't hear of many people actively acepting them or purchasing it....)

so a couple of questions if I may?

    1. Where is the handiest place to purchase silver - at the most favourable Vat rate? web site?
    2. Are there high street vendors around in Ireland? (maybe Jewelers?) that sell at good price? (or at least just over spot?

I see my self throwing a few bob at it when I have spare cash, to small amounts it my thinking.

    Thanks for any help.
