Unusual toilet seat, fitting/replacement advice

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I'm looking for advice on where to get a D shaped toilet seat that can be installed from the top only. I don't have a live-in handyman and usually have no problem doing the required jobs around the place.

I've done various google searches for the exact type and model but the style is no longer in production. I bought the correct shappped seat yesterday only to bring it home and discover the wall mounted toilet does not allow access to the screws under the back of the bowl.

Could anyone point me in the direction of help? I'm a bit annoyed I can't manage this myself as I'm proud of previous DIY such as fixing diaphram on loo in the last house

    Thanks in advance

Go to a plumbers merchants, ( not woodies or B & Q ) and tell them what you need and they can order one in for you.

    +1 on above.

Some toilet seats fit/tighten from above, for exactualy your problem.

Good plumbing supplys like Heatmerchants etc. with a bathroom showroom.

Thanks very much for the replies, I'll make a few calls tomorrow.

I am worried about the cost though, I couldn't justify a spend of €80 for a toilet seat.
