    1. What intercounty footballer retired in 2007 having scored in a record 45 consecutive league and championship games?

    2. What was the first GAA team to appear on Television?

    3. Which Dublin player missed the All Ireland football final due to the papal visit and why?

    4. What school has had two International Rules captains?

 Sorry I am confused, what has a suspension got to do with the papal visit?

Was something about the final being early that year because of the Pope coming. Hands up, I asked someone who would remember as I was only a nipper and I got half an answer :-)

Ah ok, so the suspension would have expired had the final been played on the normal 3rd Sunday but it was played early because of the papal visit and the suspension came into force. That makes sense.

It was always the last Sunday in September rather than the third until the Ryder Cup was held here a few years ago and would have clashed.

I am open to correction but I don't think that is correct, being a Meathman all the All-Ireland football finals I have been to were before the year of the Ryder cup :(, and I seem to recall that they were 3rd Sunday.

    Edit

It appears you are correct, All-Ireland final 1999, September 26th = 4th Sunday.

Can I ask how its possible for only one team to have been the first on television? They must have been playing someone else at the time, making 2 teams visible on TV.

Unless a training session was televised or something like that.
