After 8 years it's time to replace my trusty old HP 550.
My new laptop won't need to do that much, occasional browsing,YouTube now and again,a few downloads and plug it into tv and watch a match every so often.

At €289 the ASUS is after catching my eye but is it a bargain or is it just crap!
Is it worth taking a gamble on it????

    Crap processor...

Asus are a good brand generally, but there is an element of "you get what you pay for" with laptops. It will get by for the usage you've mentioned, but it wont be fast at what it does.

If I were you, I'd save more, and go for something Intel powered, and the best you can get for your money saved.

    Thanks Alan!
I might see can I check one out in one of the stores.
It's my phone that I use all the time for Internet and also I just got an LG g pad 8.3 today.

It's probably a step up from the hp550 anyway yeah?

    How are ASUS reliability wise?
