External HDD

    Guy I have an external HDD for backup of my laptop. It has lots of free space. I am wondering if I can create a new partition on in and format it to FAT32 for installing game on my PS3. I just seeing if there are any other options that an internal HDD.

    Dont think so.

    The Playstation will try and format the whole drive when you install it.

    Cant be an external hard drive either.

    Kind of what I suspected, hence my not risking my backup data.
