Not meaning to cause concern for anyone, but just a friendly reminder to check your NCT dates.

Mine is due in April and got a test date for March. There is reportedly a long wait list.

I've been reading on Boards Legal court appearances and possible fines of €1000 for out of due NCTs. Wouldn't want anyone to get caught out and having to drive somewhere else to get booked in for a test.

    Happy new year all!

Ring and ask for a test within 28 days and do not accept a booking outside of this. If they cannot provide a booking within 28 days you get the test free. There is always bookings kept aside for this. Also, if booking on line check early in morning such as 9.30am.

Good to know thanks. The obligation for a booking within 28 days? Could they offer you a test at any test centre?

Pretty sure it has to be at the test centre of your choice, open to correction.
