Two More Passenger Aircraft Incidents Today

Both incidents happened with 5 minutes, I see. Just thinking about that Saab, could it be a write off? Assuming it's about 25 years old is it economically even viable to fix it up?

Saab viability depends on whether they need it - Donegal PSO ending in days which needed a full frame - and the ease of getting another if they do rather than solely cost I'd imagine. Could easily see it go

Looks like the Southend incident was a false engine fire indication. Memory items call for the engine to be shut down. No doubt it was windy enough in SEN like the rest of the UK yesterday.

Depending on the Saabs damage it may be written off.

By intelligent you mean it just gives the facts and not like newspapers embellishes it with"fire" "screaming" "children" "hero" "school" etc

Gives facts, and the facts have to be verified by more than one "reliable" agency before they are accepted.

I used to work with the main operator of Avherald on flight simulator software, so I know just how meticulous he is on avoiding any information that cannot be relied on.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

The saab is old so they may not bother fixing it.

I love how the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service don't even bother sending ambulances to the scene of the crash. Their so backwards over their they send 'appliances' instead. Nothing beats sending a washing machine, a gas cooker and a toaster to the scene of a plane crash.

Before anyone has a go at me... I know what appliance means. It was just a joke.

Another incident a few hours ago.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2896265/Panicking-passengers-refuse-board-AirAsia-plane-engine-stops-loud-bang-runway-Surabaya-airport.html

Almost an entire plane-load of passengers refused to re-board an AirAsia jet after one of the engines struck a problem as it started to taxi at Surabaya airport, it was reported today.
It was the same airline that lost an Airbus last weekend as it flew from Surabaya to Singapore with the presumed loss of all 162 passengers and crew.
