    Hey Guys,
I'm just looking to hear some peoples opinions on my best investment options.
I'm 30 years of age and living in Australia on a really good salary/bonus package. For the next 5 years I basically plan on following my career wherever it takes me in the world. Up until now I've basically being putting my money into a savings account each month. I have a deposit on a house saved but I'm thinking if I buy here in Oz its going to be more hassle than its worth trying to rent it etc. after I leave and various other stuff.

I have recently invested about 8k in a couple of stocks in areas related to what I work in:
Tatts Group (TTS on the ASX )
    Hortonworks (HDP on the NASDAQ)

If I'm not going to invest in property right now, where do you reckon I should put my money? I've started reading the stickies etc and trying to learn as much as I can re. investing. Everywhere I look people seem to be talking about index funds. Is this the best way to go? I'm naturally a risk taker so happy to consider any options . Cheers Guys :-)

Nah I'm not really looking for something long term, more short term I guess.
How about trying to build a diverse share portfolio across different sectors and markets with solid shares such as citibank, apple etc. Then once you have built this portfolio, use it as leverage to invest the leveraged amount in and ETF such as QQQ SPY? Is that even possible or am I just talking rubbish? Cheers :-)
