Clinique, Estee Lauder, or Lancombe?

    Hi all,

Me here again with another shopping question. I have another voucher for a small department store that has Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Lancombe counters.

Are there any products from these that you love, makeup or skincare or both? I want to spend wisely.

Thanks! And Happy New Year :)

    Clarins! No contest.

(apologies if the store you have the voucher for doesn't stock Clarins......)

ETA - more constructively - everyone's skin is different, go to each of the counters and get some samples of what you might use and try them out.

It doesn't have Clarins unfortunately, it's a small store in a small town and just has those three counters.

I think the clinque 7 day scrub is great.
estee lauder double wear is good too although I found the counter staff recommened a colour way to dark for me on both occasions I bought it.

I'm a big Estée Lauder fan!
I find generally that the staff are very well trained.
They have some little tool to match the correct foundation to your face, get them to do this. Double wear light is great as is their new range perfectionist.
Their make up remover is brilliant as is eye make up remover.
Night serum is highly highly recommended.
Their eye shadows last all day.
    Their mascaras don't budge.
Their moisturisers have high SPF which is important.
You can't go wrong with any of their products!! I've been using for years now! (Including my wedding day!)
    Enjoy choosing!

Estee Lauder Double Wear is brilliant for things like weddings or events where you want your makeup to last a long time. It's a bit heavy otherwise but there's also Double Wear Light for something less heavy duty.

I don't use anything from Clinique or Lancome but that's not to say they don't have good stuff, I just don't used them myself. I have used Lancome Doll Eyes mascara before which was pretty good. You could also treat yourself to some perfume of course!

Clinique take the day off balm is on my wish list. The city block SPF 25 is going to be my spring sunscreen purchase. The Clinique super serum is getting rave reviews. I don't know much about Estée Lauder but I'm not a fan of Lancôme except perhaps for their foundations.

I would probably vere towards Estée Lauder. I find Clinique very rough on my skin, and a lot of people say that. I used to use Lancôme. Some of the moisturisers are great.

Thanks for the feedback so far, this board is great!

I've heard a lot about the Estee Lauder foundation - I bought a Charlotte Tilbury foundation a while back, but I'm not in love with it, TBH. Wish I'd waited and got the Estee Lauder one instead.

Any more recommendations are welcome. Thanks! :):)

Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing balm is wonderful & will clean every scrap of makeup & dirt off your skin. It's very gentle & unscented. I also use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel (I have combo/oily skin so it suits me better) and like it but it's nothing too incredible.

Double Wear foundation is good if you get a shade to suit you, I wear one of the lightest shades and I have to blend it really well or it comes across too dark for my skin tone. I do like it though, I prefer a higher coverage so it suits me down to the ground. :)

I've heard good things about the Lancome Grandiose mascara, it's meant to be lovely but I haven't tried it so I can't say for certain!

Clinique cleansing balm and their anti-oxidant night cream is excellent. I don't think Clinique products are harsh at all really except maybe the toners and I wouldn't rate the dramatically different moisturiser at all. I also like Estee Lauder BB cream and their advanced night serum for eyes

Get a sample of the double wear before you buy.

I have good skin verging on oily and for me it was difficult to blend and clung like crazy to fine lines and dry patches I didn't even know I had. It also made my skin feel tight, like I'd washed it with soap and not moisturised afterwards. It's Defo not for everyone.

    happy shopping! :)

I haven't a clue about make up as I'm a lad but for skin care I'd advise you get samples of everything and try them out first to make sure they don't break you out as there is nothing worse than buying a somewhat expensive product and finding out that it doesn't work for your skin.

Just from my own personal beauty faves out of those brands:

Clinique Take the Day Off and get yourself a nice soft face cloth to go with it
Clinique eyeshadow chubby sticks in Whooping Willow and Lots of Latte
Lancome Miracle Air de Teint which is a very fluid foundation with an airbrushing effect
    Lancome Doll Eyes mascara

There are other products from both that I love but the above are my favourites that I repurchase all the time.

I don't own any Estee Lauder products but my sister swears by the Double Wear foundation (I don't know if there's different variations of it). She has oily spot prone skin and also suffers from bad redness in her cheeks and it is the only foundation she has found that can keep the redness under control over the course of an evening out.

It's Estée Lauder for me. Clinique take the day off is good but I'm not keen on their other skincare products, I think they are too harsh.

Estée lauder Douuble Wear is brilliant as is their Sumptuous Extreme Lash mascara. I've used their Advanced Night Repair serum and would highly recommend that also.
