    so I got me a new treadmill from Santa

    I've been running 5k a day for the past few years - went through a phase of doing 8 - 10k a day but this running was done in the evening

    change in circumstances - now am running first thing in the morning - generally around 5.30 am before I go to work

    with the new and more reliable treadmill, I want to get my distances back up and have used Christmas break to do this

    anyway long story shorter........I've been increasing my 5k by a half k every morning for the past week or so, had a rest day on the day before yesterday, did 7k yesterday but the 5k nearly killed me this morning- had to slow the machine twice in the run.........barely made the 5k

    just looking to see if anyone has any thoughts - grateful for all input
