    Weissbier, nothing beats it, except perhaps another weissbier. :)

    So with that bold statement this is my list of favourite weiss beers;

    1) Schneider Weiss
    2) Franziskaner
    3) Paulaner
    *big jump*
    4) Erdinger
    5) Curim

    Anyone what to suggest another weiss beer that's available in Ireland?

    Interesting point; In Bavaria, beer is classed as a food and only in Bavaria is it known as a weissbier (weiss means white), elsewhere in Germany it is called a Weizenbier (weizen means wheat).

    For anyone else who likes it The Black Sheep in Dublin (near cineworld) serves Schneider Weiss on tap.

    I'm quite partial to Flensburger Weizen. It's very different to the Bavarian ones: much drier.

    Weihenstephaner is pretty good but Schneider original (think it's now called Tap 7) is the best imo.

    I assume the Weihenstephaner you like is the cloudy one (Hefe)?

    Turns out I have two bottles of it in the car that I hadn't tried. One of them is the Hefe and the other is Kristall.

    Back in the day I lived in Munich and I never saw Weissbier on tap in Munich. Then over the years I've seen it over here in cans and eventually on tap. For me it just has to come from the bottle and be poured with a bit of style.

    Really enjoyed Kapuziner, seems to have a spicy tang to it, a bit different to other weissbiers I've had
