I'm half thinking of picking up a 5 refurb from Argos after having a horrible time since switching to Android I just want to know does the 5 support 4G? I was under the impression it didn't but some places say it does?

It does on one band. Vodafone and eMobile both offer 4G on it in some places.

On eMobile got 4g in Dublin no 4g in Dundalk or Drogheda.

OK can you explain something to me regards only one band. I always thought each area would be covered by each band, say if Vodafone have 2 bands then Drohedga is covered by both.

But from what ye say an area may only have one band active even if a network supports a couple of bands?

The iPhone 5 can only pick up a few 4G bands, only one of those is used in Ireland, newer iPhones can access all the 4G bands.
